San Marcos Lions Club Presents Over $45k To Ten Local Non-Profits

On Friday, Oct. 25, the San Marcos Lions Club presented over $45,000 to 10 local nonprofit organizations.

Representatives from the organizations were present to accept the checks.

The recipients of the donations were Blanco River Regional Recovery Team, CFPO Youth Sports, Redwood Community Center, San Marcos Youth Soccer, Hays Caldwell Women’s Center, Honor Flight Austin, San Marcos Education Foundation, San Marcos Housing Authority, Sights and Sounds of San Marcos, Beth Shalom Ministries and Leadership San Marcos.

  • CFPO Youth Sports ~ $2,500
  • Redwood Community Center ~ $10,000
  • San Marcos Youth Soccer ~ $1,500
  • Hays Caldwell Women’s Center ~ $6,000
  • Honor Flight Austin ~ $5,000
  • San Marcos Education Foundation ~ $2,000
  • San Marcos Housing Authority ~ $5,000
  • Sights and Sounds of San Marcos ~ $5,000
  • Beth Shalom Ministries ~ $3,000
  • Leadership San Marcos ~ $500

The representatives each gave a brief overview of what their organization did or shared a story with members about families that the donations from the Lion’s Club have allowed them to help.
