San Marcos Main Street Hosts Trick-or-Treat Fun

The City of San Marcos Main Street Program is hosting a free “Trick-or-Treat” event for families on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 12 to 3 p.m. in downtown San Marcos.

Participating businesses will hand out candy to kids and offer Halloween-themed specials. Activities will include temporary tattoos, a bone dig, witches brew, face painting, a craft table, spooky experiments in Kissing Alley hosted by the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) and a photo booth.

For the first time, there will be a “build your own candy apple” station for kids and tours of a San Marcos Fire Truck.

Stop by headquarters on the courthouse lawn at 111 E San Antonio St. to pick up a candy-stop map and Trick-or-Treat bag.

This event is sponsored by the San Marcos Main Street Program and local businesses in an effort to promote a safe and fun environment for families and their kids.

For more information about the event, contact the Main Street office at (512) 393-8430. For media inquiries, contact communicationsinfo@sanmarcostx.gov.
