Staff Reports
This year, the San Marcos Main Street Program’s annual Wine and Wassail will return on Dec. 14 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM in the heart of Downtown San Marcos.
The fifth annual event will feature a progressive tour of retail businesses serving a variety of wines, homemade wassail and paired hors d’oeurvres.
Participants will receive a commemorative wine glass and enjoy live entertainment while strolling the downtown streets. As an added bonus, Love Downtown pedicabs will offer ticket holders free rides along the route.
“Main Street loves hosting this event because it is an amazing opportunity for residents and visitors alike to have the ultimate downtown San Marcos experience,” said Interim Main Street Program Manager Josie Falletta. “We encourage everyone to shop small and support local businesses this holiday season.”
Check in begins at 5:30 PM at the Hays County Courthouse, 111 E San Antonio Street. For more information and ticket prices, check out the event at https://2018wineandwassail.splashthat.com/.
