San Marcos Main Street Program To Host Scoops On The Square

The San Marcos Main Street Program will host its first-ever Scoops on the Square on Saturday, June 8, from 5 PM to 8 PM in historic Downtown San Marcos.

The inaugural event will feature a progressive tour of retail businesses serving a variety of ice creams. Participants will receive a commemorative mug and enjoy activities while strolling the downtown streets. All ice cream will be provided by local downtown business, Rhea’s Ice Cream, and pedicabs are available to transport attendees between stops, included in the ticket price.

“Main Street is excited to host this family-friendly event and looks forward to seeing residents and visitors alike come together for a downtown San Marcos experience,” said Interim Main Street Program Manager Josie Falletta.

Check in begins at 5 PM at the Hays County Historic Courthouse, 111 E San Antonio St., at the corner of Hopkins and Guadalupe. Tickets are $7.50 for Adults (13+) and $5 for Children (12 and under). Tickets are available online at www.scoopsonthesquaresmtx.com.

For additional information, call the Main Street office at 512.393.8430 or email mainstreet@sanmarcostx.gov.
