Halloween is almost here! Look out for Goblins, Ghouls and pumpkins.
The City of San Marcos is hosting a free trick or treating event for families Saturday, Oct. 28 from 12-3 p.m. at businesses throughout downtown.
Participating businesses will hand out candy to kids and offer Halloween-themed specials. Activities at downtown businesses will include a bounce house, face painting, games, prizes, a spooky alley, and karaoke for kids.
This event is sponsored by the San Marcos Main Street Program and local businesses, promoting a safe and fun environment for families and their kids.
“Downtown belongs to everyone,” said Main Street Program Manager Samantha Armbruster. “We want to show our youngest citizens that there are fun things for them and their families to do in our inclusive town center.”
For more information about the event contact the Main Street office at 512.393.8430.
About the San Marcos Main Street Program: The San Marcos Main Street program’s vision is that downtown San Marcos will continue to provide a sense of place for its citizens and visitors, be a moderately upscale shopping district, an entertainment district, and all within a historically-focused commercial district. The mission of the Main Street Program is to maintain the unique, historic nature of downtown recognizing its history and planning for its future. It strives to provide economic stability to the heart of our city through a comprehensive revitalization program of the National Main Street Center’s Four Points of Main Street: design, economic restructuring, organization and promotion.
