San Marcos Movies In Your Park To Kick Off With Moana In June

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Cricket Wireless and Grande Communications, presents the 2017 Movies in Your Park series.

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Cricket Wireless and Grande Communications, presents the 2017 Movies in Your Park series. Movies in Your Park is a free community event held on Tuesdays in June and July at San Marcos Plaza Park, located at 201 N. C M Allen Pkwy.

This year’s movies are listed below:

  • June 6 – Moana
  • June 13 – The Wizard of Oz
  • June 20 – The Secret Life of Pets
  • June 27 – Little Giants (Held at Bobcat Stadium, 1100 Aquarena Springs Dr.)
  • July 11 – Storks
  • July 18 – Wall-E
  • July 25 – Finding Dory

There will not be a movie on Tuesday, July 4, due to the SummerFest Independence Day Celebration.

Pre-movie activities hosted by Angel Drops, Texas Health & Racquet Club, Keep San Marcos Beautiful, and other community organizations begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by the movie at sunset. It is recommended to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Concessions will be available for purchase from the Association of Recreation Enthusiasts and Kona Ice will be on-site selling snow cones. Glass, Styrofoam, alcohol, and smoking are not permitted.
