San Marcos Parks And Recreation Opens Registration For Annual Spring Break Camp For Kids

With Spring Break around the corner, the San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department are preparing for their annual spring break camp for kids.

Every year, the Parks and Recreation Department encourages residents and non-residents to take advantage of Spring Break Camp, which is held March 18 thru March 22 from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM at the San Marcos Dunbar Recreation Center.

The camp’s staff will keep children, ages 5-11, active and entertained during the week of Spring Break. Kids will play games, make crafts, and many other fun recreational activities.

Campers will also go on small field trips around town to the San Marcos Children’s Park playscape, Public Library, Sunset Bowling Lanes, and the Starplex Theater. During this program, there will be a large field trip to the Dart’em Up nerf gun arena and a picnic lunch at Harper Park in Austin.

Cost for the camp is $150 per child for the entire week. Children must bring their own lunch each day and a morning snack if desired; an afternoon snack will be provided. Parents can visit http://www.sanmarcostx.gov/springbreakcamp for full details.

Registration opens February 1st at the Parks and Recreation Main Office, 401 E. Hopkins, or by calling 512.393.8400. Space is limited.
