San Marcos PD arrest man on 17 counts of money forgery

John Beard II (DOB 08/07/1989) of San Antonio, TX.

SAN MARCOS — Just before 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, San Marcos Police responded to a call for service at the Embassy Suites located at 1001 E McCarty Lane.

While responding to the call, officers observed marijuana among possessions belonging to John Beard II (DOB 08/07/1989) of San Antonio, TX. A search warrant was obtained, and while conducting a further search officers located additional evidence including counterfeit U.S. currency (16 counterfeit bills), fictitious licenses, and sheets of blank checks.

Beard was arrested at the scene and booked into the Hays County Jail on 17 counts of forgery and possession of marijuana.
