SAN MARCOS – The San Marcos Police Department (SMPD) responded to a robbery reported at Walgreens on East Hopkins street on Thursday, January 6.
According to SMPD, 45-year-old Justin Jisha entered the store and threatened to use a weapon before walking out with a large number of narcotics.
“Our officers canvassed the area and located Jisha at the HEB next door where he admitted to robbing Walgreens and was taken into custody without incident,” SMPD said in a Facebook post. “Jisha told officers he did not have a weapon and a weapon was not located, but officers did recover the stolen narcotics.”
Jisha, of Canyon Lake, was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery and possession of a controlled substance.
According to public records, Jisha is still booked in the Hays County Jail as of publication.
This is the second aggravated robbery SMPD has reported so far in 2022. On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, SMPD arrested two suspects in a robbery at Fuego Tortilla Grill. Both suspects face several charges, including aggravated robbery, evading arrest, and tampering with evidence.

The robberies yesterday and today were unrelated but according to sources
are believed to have occurred after the various suspects had arrived in San
Marcos to attend a Mano Amiga rally which had been cancelled due to local
leader Jordan Buckley having a previously scheduled commitment to attend
a joint live-fire weapons drill with associates and allies in a neighboring county.
In Mano Amiga's own words, "In response to ICE Raids in Hays County, Mano Amiga
formed out of a need to organize and campaign against the detainment and deportation
of undocumented people in the US."
Since their start here, Mano Amiga claims they have been "partnering in programming
hosted by Centro Cultural de Hispano, Calaboose African American History Museum,
National Night for Safety and Liberation (Ella Baker Center), Splash Coworking, and others. "
They can't be all bad, after all, they argued on behalf of concealing the illegal alien who
murdered our local police officer Justin Putnam, in addition to critically wounding two
other officers who on April 18, 2020, had simply responded to a wife beating.
Sad, those officers at the time had no way of knowing how the law around here works.
Simply put: it's not illegal until Mano Amiga agrees to it. Anyone with questions of law
