San Marcos PD investigating fatal hit-and-run

SAN MARCOS — The San Marcos Police Department (SMPD) is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian collision that occurred on Saturday as a hit-and-run.

According to the City of San Marcos, SMPD responded to a call at approximately 6:48 a.m. on March 5 regarding a pedestrian vs. auto collision in the 3300 block of north I-35. Officers arrived at the scene and located a deceased Hispanic male. From initial reports, police are investigating the crash as a hit-and-run.

This is an ongoing investigation, and San Marcos Corridor News will provide updates as they become available.
