San Marcos PD & SWAT arrest man for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

SAN MARCOS – The San Marcos Police Department with the help of SWAT arrested 31-year-old Raymond Davila for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

At approximately 4 p.m. on Friday, January 21, officers were called to the 1600 block of Post Road for a report of an aggravated assault. Upon investigation, it was determined that Davila threatened individuals with a firearm. Davila fled the scene before officers arrived.

Davila eventually returned to the residence and SMPD obtained a warrant for his arrest on Saturday, January 22. Officers went to serve the warrant and SWAT was activated. Davila surrendered without incident a short time later.

Davila was booked into the Hays County Jail and faces a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Family Violence. He has two prior charges from SMPD for unlawfully carrying a weapon and theft of property.

At the time of publication, Davila remains in the Hays County Jail with a bond of $25,000.
