San Marcos Police Ask for Help to Locate Missing Woman

The San Marcos police department notified Corridor News (or us) yesterday, and are asking the public to help find a disabled woman who has been missing for ten days.

Police say thirty-year-old Melody Renfro (7/15/1985), who has been diagnosed with an intellectual disability, was last seen on Aug. 8 around noon at her job at Taco Bell at San Marcos Prime Outlets.

Melody told her manager she had a family emergency and needed to leave. No one saw who she left with or whether or not she left in a vehicle. Her phone has remained off, and no one in her family or at her group home has had contact with her since her disappearance. The pre-paid debit card she frequently uses has not been used since she was last seen.

Melody’s parents say she has disappeared before, but never for more than a few hours. They believe there is a possibility she could be with an ex-boyfriend in San Antonio, but all attempts to locate her there have failed.

“We urge anyone with information about Melody’s disappearance or anyone who may have seen her to contact the San Marcos Police Department,” said Police Chief Chase Stapp. “Any clue may be able to help us reunite her with her family”.

Residents can contact Detective Brady Templeton at 512.753.2317 or call the San Marcos Police Department at 512.753.2108 to report any information related to the case.
