San Marcos Police Investigate Homicide At The Village On Telluride

The San Marcos Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Wednesday, June 5, at the Village on Telluride in San Marcos.

At approximately 7:10 AM, officers were called to the 300 block of Telluride to a report of a burglary of a habitation.  A resident of the complex reported finding a loose dog and followed the dog to an apartment. Upon arriving at the apartment, the resident observed that the door was kicked in and contacted SMPD. 

Officials said officers arrived and found Demarcus Trey Allen (04/25/1996) of Pasadena, TX, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Justice of the Peace Maggie H. Moreno pronounced Allen deceased at the scene at 8:40 AM. Next of kin has been notified.

Two individuals that were upstairs in the apartment and one additional roommate are being interviewed by detectives with the SMPD Criminal Investigation Division. 

According to police, this is the fifth homicide for San Marcos in 2019 with the four prior incidents including Aaron Peterman on Feb. 13, Brihana Landrum on Feb. 17, Nicholas White on Apr. 6 and Connor Shannon on May 5.
