San Marcos Police Issues Shelter-In-Place During Investigation

The announcement was released thirty-four minutes ago on the city’s Facebook page.

Residents near Smith and Sherbarb Streets are under a shelter-in-place order in San Marcos.

The City of San Marcos is asking people to avoid the area while San Marcos Police investigate an active crime scene.

Residents are asked to remain in their homes unless evacuated by law enforcement.

City officials said if individuals are on the streets already, they should stay calm and wait for police instruction.
