The San Marcos Municipal Court will offer discounted fees for eligible cases before starting concentrated warrant enforcement Sept. 25.
Defendants with outstanding cases with the court are urged to contact the San Marcos Municipal Court immediately to avoid arrest.
Defendants who pay a case in warrant status in full will be eligible to get the $50 dollar warrant fee waived and, if the case is in collections a, reduction in that fee of $15.
The San Marcos Municipal Court of Record has a warrant search posted on its website along with a list of people who have unresolved cases needing immediate attention. To view lists visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/court.
The Law Firm of Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott LLP has been contracted with to assist with collections. All law firm contacts will direct defendants to the court for payments—at no point will a defendant be asked to pay over the phone.
The Municipal Court accepts cash, checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, Visa, Master Card, and Discover. Individuals may make credit card payments directly to the court by phone during regular court hours, or 24/7 when paying in full online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/court (Please make note of the court bureau code# 3290449 for online payments.)
Those who mail in payments should include their driver’s license number and case or ticket number to ensure proper credit. Payments may be mailed to Municipal Court, City of San Marcos, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos, TX 78666.
The Municipal Court customer service window is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours on Wednesday until 8 p.m. The municipal court may be reached by telephone at 512.393.8190, by fax at 855.246.9121, and email at muni_court_info@sanmarcostx.gov.
