The San Marcos Police Department will hold a memorial commemorating the second anniversary of fallen officer Kenneth Copeland on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 2:45 PM in front of the San Marcos Police Station, 2300 SIH-35.
Officer Kenneth Copeland was shot and killed in the line of duty while serving a warrant on December 4, 2017.
The memorial will consist of a brief prayer of remembrance led by Pastor Jeff Latham, a volunteer chaplain for the Police Department. The memorial will be held in front of a tree that was planted last year in Officer Copeland’s honor at the station.
