Earth Day Celebration and Spring Story Festival
Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Celebrate health, wellness, and planet Earth with workshops, demonstrations, samples, and more! Join in on a presentation and discussion of native landscaping with Jackie Mattice, a Texas Master Naturalist. Hays County Master Gardeners will hold table talks on soil, Firewise planting, and offer free “Ready Set Go” Backpacks to attendees. During your library visit, don’t miss the booths and demonstrations from local farming and nature groups such as Grey Gardens, Sustainable San Marcos, the Native Plant Research Institute, and more!
If you have little ones, join us for a story festival of fun spring books, crafts, and face painting with members of the Texas State University Student Reading Council, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
