San Marcos Public Library To Host Four After School Programs In September

San Marcos Public Library To Host Lego Mania, Growing Up Wild, Let’s Move And Art Club In September. For dates and times, see below.

Beginning in September, the library will offer after school programs to elementary school aged children every Thursday at 4 p.m. through the end of the year.

Come join us for LEGO Mania, Growing Up Wild, Let’s Move! and Art Club.

LEGO Mania (first Thursday of each month: Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1, Dec. 6) allows your child the opportunity to play while fostering creativity and engineering skills.

Growing Up Wild (second Thursday of the month: Sept. 13, Oct. 11, Nov. 8, Dec. 13) is a new nature experience in which we read books, make crafts, and do outdoor activities on a different nature topic each month.

In addition to our after school program for 5-10 year olds, the Library will also offer a preschool version of this program on the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m.

Let’s Move! (third Thursday of the month: Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 15, Dec. 20) promotes physical literacy and physical activity. The program will feature different physical activities each month, such as dance, yoga, and other fun activities to get your children moving!

Art Club (fourth Thursday of each month: Sept. 27, Oct. 25, Nov. 29, Dec. 27) provides children a chance to explore many art forms. Come stretch your creativity with different art projects each month.
