Every week, the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter selects the Pets of the Week to help animals find their forever homes.
Let us introduce you to Jamie and Madison…
NOTE: Our need remains great to find immediate fosters and adopters for our shelter pets. We are currently offering a “Pay What you Want” promotion for adoptions, which can be done remotely as our shelter is currently closed to the public.
Meet Velma…
Photo Credit: Jennifer HayesVelma is a sweet Tabby cat, about two years old and very chill. If sleeping were a vocation, she would be wealthy!
This girl is awaiting a new family to love on her and give her some much-needed attention.
She would also be great for a foster family who can help us move animals out of the shelter. Velma is a long stay guest at the shelter and ready to stretch her legs and snuggle up next to you.
Meet Tank…
Photo Credit: Jennifer HayesLooking for a furry pal who loves car rides, swimming and going to the beach? Tank is all geared up to be your new bestie! He is also great with children, including younger kiddos.
He would thrive in a home with no cats, rabbits or other small creatures.
If you let your canine pals sleep in your bed, Tank is ready to cuddle up – just know that he’s sometimes a bed hog but only because he likes to be close to his people. He has a gentle soul and just wants someone to love him as much as he loves them.
All adoptions include the pet’s spay or neuter, kennel vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip and city license.
For more information or to adopt one of our Pets of the Week, visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions or contact Animal Services at (512) 805-2650.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, we are operating on a modified schedule. Emails are likely the best way to contact shelter staff right now. Email foster@sanmarcostx.gov to learn more about how to become a foster.
