San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter ‘Pets Of The Week’

Every week, the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter selects the Pets of the Week for July 4 to help animals find their forever homes.

Let us introduce you to Mamacita and Kovu…

Meet Mamacita…

If you’re looking for a cat who will tolerate almost anything, Mamacita is your gal. She’s a one-year-old girl who loves to talk, is very affectionate and will let you dress her up! She loves to check out her new surroundings and eagerly greets strangers. She’s also very gentle and hasn’t shown the slightest bit of aggression! Mamacita would do great with any family!

Meet Kovu…

This youngster is looking for someone to return his unconditional love. Kovu is a four-year-old Labrador Retriever/Mastiff mix who loves to cuddle.

He’s great with kids and kitties and is gentle with both, but because he’s an alpha dog, he can be a little protective around other dogs. Kovu would do best in a home as an only dog, but promises to give you the love of a thousand dogs!

All adoptions include the pet’s spay or neuter, kennel vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip and city license.

The shelter is running a “name your price” adoption special, meaning you only pay what you want/can for your new best friend! For more information or to adopt one of our Pets of the Week, visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions or contact Animal Services at (512) 805-2650.
