San Marcos Responds To Small Passenger Aircraft Crash

San Marcos Fire and Police, in conjunction with Hays County and the FAA, are responding to a small passenger aircraft crash that occurred early this morning.

The aircraft took off from the San Marcos Regional Airport at 5:54 a.m. and lost contact with air traffic control at 5:55 AM.

The aircraft was located on the ALERRT Center property at approximately 8:03 a.m. One deceased victim has been located.

We will release updates as they become available. Details about the aircraft and victim will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
