San Marcos Road Construction And Traffic September 27 – October 10, 2015

HUGHSON HEIGHTS: As part of the City’s new pavement management program to provide preventative maintenance to city streets, Hughson Heights will undergo slurry seal work on the following streets: Lady Bird Ln., Algarita Rd., Chaparral St., Fenway Loop, Manor Park Rd., Potomac Cir., Cedar Grove, Sagewood Trail, Hughson, Crest and Hill Dr. Sept. 23 – 30 from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, weather permitting. RIVER RD: As part of the City’s new pavement management program to provide preventative maintenance to city streets, River Rd. will undergo slurry seal work from IH 35 frontage to Cape Rd. on Sept. 28, 2015 from 7 a.m – 5 p.m. Project will last approximately two days, weather permitting. STAGECOACH TRAIL: As part of the City’s new pavement management program to provide preventative maintenance to city streets, Stagecoach Trail will undergo slurry seal work Sept. 26 – 27 from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., weather permitting. WEST WOODS STREET/TALBOT STREET: Sections of West Woods and Talbot St. will be under construction weekends Sept. 26 – Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with alternating lane closures, one way through traffic and flaggers present. McCARTY LANE: As part of the City’s new pavement management program to provide preventative maintenance to city streets, McCarty Lane from IH-35 to the Railroad crossing will undergo street maintenance work on Oct. 6 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Project length is estimated 4 to 6 weeks, weather permitting. SPRING LAKE TRIATHLON:  The Rotary Club of San Marcos is hosting a sprint triathlon on Sept.  26 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. The run/bike portion of the triathlon will start at the Travis Elementary School and pass through Spring Lake Preserve to include intersections of East and West Mimosa Cir, Lamar Ave, Quail Creek Dr., Alta Vista St., Ed JL Green Dr., Laurel Ridge and back to Travis Elementary. EAST/WEST OAKWOOD LOOP: East and westbound of Oakwood Loop will have a lane closure Sept. 27 – 29 from 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. for a culvert excavation and installation. TxDOT, 512.917.7834
100 BLK ROOSEVELT: All lanes in both directions will be closed for a sanitary sewer rehabilitation on Sept. 21 – 28 from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Roosevelt traffic will be detoured to W. Grove St and Armstrong St. Insituform Technologies, LLC 713.845.3016
LP 80/POST RD: LP 82 east bound outside right lane will be closed for tree removal to install storm sewer line. The closure will run 300’ west of Post Road through LP 82 intersection Sept. 21 – 28 from 9 a.m – 4 p.m. TxDOT (Jordan Foster Construction), 512.750.5189
401 FREDERICKSBURG ST: Several parking spaces will be closed periodically on N. Fredericksburg, Lindsey, N. Comanche, and Pat Garrison Streets for exterior painting until Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Also, all lanes on Fredericksburg St. and Lindsey St. will be closed intermittently, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during this time.  LCG, Inc. 512.750.3393
TxDOT HUNTER ROAD (FM 2439) PROJECT: Two way traffic has been restored between Dixon and Bishop Street. Various lane closures will continue on Hunter Road between Wonder World Drive and Bishop Street through the fall 2015 for road, bridge, drainage, bicycle and pedestrian improvements. HWY 80 FROM CLAREWOOD TO IH-35: TxDot is widening SH 80 from Clarewood to IH-35 to allow a second left lane for traffic traveling from SH 80 to South IH-35. Construction will last approximately three months, weather permitting. TxDOT, 512.924.1715
EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430
LONG TERM ROAD PROJECTS:
  • NORTH LBJ FROM CAMARO WAY TO CRADDOCK: This road will be open to two-way traffic, but the lanes will be shifted west to allow space for the City contractor to construct a new lift station on the corner of N. LBJ and Craddock. Project will last until summer 2016. Engineering/Capital Improvements, 512.393.8130
