WEEKLY ROAD CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE

ROBBIE LANE: A mill and overlay project will begin on Robbie Lane, weather permitting. This is not a road closure but a notice to be aware of the construction zone and obey traffic control flaggers. SOUTHWEST HILLS NEIGHBORHOOD: A mill and overlay project will begin in the Southwest Hills Neighborhood, weather permitting. This is not a road closure but a notice to be aware of the construction zone and obey traffic control flaggers. Please park your vehicle off the street or it may be towed at your expense. W WOODS/N COMANCHE ST: Beginning Monday, May 15, 2017, at 7:00 a.m., Woods Street between Comanche Street and Talbot Street, as well as Woods Street between N. Guadalupe Street and N. LBJ Drive will be closed in order to facilitate underground utility work that will serve the new Engineering and Science Building. Both segments will reopen on Friday, August 18, 2017. During this closure, the Bus Stop at UAC has been temporarily relocated to the intersection of Concho Street and N. LBJ Drive. Texas State University, 512.245.2202 May 15

100-300 BLOCK STAGECOACH TRAIL: There will be a one lane closure at eastbound Stagecoach to the corner of Hunter and Stagecoach Trail for the installation of aerial fiber optic cable on, weather permitting. Grande Communications, 512.845.9595   May 30   8 a.m.   June 16    5 p.m.
IH-35 RAMPS BETWEEN BLANCO RIVER AND FM 150: Northbound ramp construction at exit ramps 210 (to Yarrington), 213 (to Center Street) and entrance ramp to IH-35 ½ mile south of Center Street with various lane closures. Once complete, the new ramps will be open to traffic and the old ramps will be closed and removed. TxDOT, 512.282.2113  June 19    9 p.m.    June 22   5 a.m.
HAMILTON STREET: Closed at Indiana Street for wastewater project. Traffic will be detoured around work area. City of San Marcos Water/Wastewater Department, 512.393.8360     June 19    8 a.m.     June 19    5 p.m.
COMANCHE ST: Northbound lane of Comanche Street from Lindsey Street to Alkek Garage closed for underground utility and site work that will serve the new Engineering and Science Building. On June 26, the north bound lane will re-open and the south bound lane will be closed until August 16. Access will be provided to Alkek and Wood Street Garages. FRANKLIN DR.:  700 block closed for a wastewater project. Traffic will be detoured around work area. City of San Marcos Water/Wastewater Department, 512.393.8360     June 21     8 a.m.   June 21     5 p.m.
N EDWARD GARY ST.: Northbound lane closed for maintenance/ construction for a new parking area, weather permitting. EMJ, 423.240.4738  June 17   6 a.m.   June 23  6 a.m.
LONG TERM CLOSURE – VISTA ST.: All lanes in both directions will be closed from 310 – 312 Vista Street for utility construction until July 31, 2018. Texas State University, 512.245.2202 Present    Aug    2018
LONG TERM CLOSURE – SESSOM DR: Various lane closures from N. LBJ to Aquarena Springs Dr. will run through January 2018 for road construction. City of San Marcos Engineering/CIP Dept., 512.393.8130 Present Jan 2018
LONG TERM CLOSURE – N LBJ:  From Holland St. to Camaro Way will be closed to through traffic until the summer of 2017. Road closure will occur during daytime construction hours. City contractor will be replacing utility lines in the area. Through traffic including Emergency Vehicles, will be routed around the project limits; please follow the detours. LONG TERM CLOSURE – WOODS ST: A segment of Woods St between Comanche and North Street will be closed during construction of the new Texas State University Engineering & Science Building beginning Monday, August 15 until August 2018. Project Manager Scott Rouse, 512.245.2202 August 2016 August 2018
EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Half a block closed from the alley to N. LBJ every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430 Year  Round Year Round
