Projects affecting San Marcos traffic April 17 – 23, 2016

 

YARRINGTON RD: Two inside south bound main lanes will be closed for maintenance on the Yarrington Bridge April 17 – 21 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily. TxDOT, 737.600.3137

 

AQUARENA SPRINGS/THORPE/CHARLES AUSTIN: Aquarena Springs from Thorpe to Charles Austin will be reduced to one lane on each direction with partial sidewalk closures for construction project through last week of April. Charles Austin will be closed to through traffic at Aquarena Springs; City Park and the San Marcos Rec Hall can be accessed by turning from Hopkins. TxDOT, 512.619.4676.

 

816 HOPKINS: The alley way between 817 Hopkins and Belvin St. will be under construction for street maintenance through April 29 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Alley will be passable to through traffic. City of San Marcos Streets Dept., 512.393.8025

 

STURGEON ST.: Street maintenance from River Road to the dead end until April 29 from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Please park your vehicle off the street or it may be towed at your own expense. City of San Marcos Streets Dept.,512.393.8025

 

LAGO VISTA: Curb, sidewalk and driveway maintenance is scheduled in the Hills of Hays subdivision at the 800 block of Lago Vista through May 1 from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Mon-Friday, weather permitting. This maintenance is part of the city’s ongoing drainage maintenance program. City of San Marcos Drainage Dept., 512.393.8019

 

EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430

 

LONG TERM ROAD PROJECTS:

  • CENTER POINT/TANGER PREMIUM OUTLET INTERSECTION:  The intersection will be under construction for a new traffic signalization project and is scheduled for completion Spring 2016. There will be alternating lane closures at the mall entrances during the day. Pedestrian movement may be altered due to ramp and sidewalk modifications. City of San Marcos Traffic Dept., 512.393.8034
  • HOLLAND/MOORE ST: Moore Street at Holland will be closed until May 23 to correct traffic flow issues and to make enhancements to the Holland Street entrance into the Speck garage; however, the east entrance into Speck Garage on Academy St. will remain open.
  • NORTH LBJ FROM CAMARO WAY TO CRADDOCK: This road will be open to two-way traffic, but the lanes will be shifted west to allow space for the City contractor to construct a new lift station on the corner of N. LBJ and Craddock. Project will last until summer 2016. Engineering/Capital Improvements, 512.393.8130
  • 817 CHESTNUT ST: One lane will be closed for new construction to site through June 2. Street will continue to be passable to all traffic. J4 Development, 469.236.0922
  • MOORE STREET: Moore Street to Holland is closed until May 2016 as well as Read St. to Holland Street will be closed until June 2016 for dormitory construction. Texas State University FPDC, 512.245.2202
