San Marcos Seeks Volunteers For Census 2020 Complete Count Committee

The City of San Marcos is seeking to fill 19 positions on the Census 2020 Complete Count Committee with dedicated volunteers from throughout the community in the following positions:

  • Two Representatives from Texas State University
  • Two Representatives from the Business Community
  • Two Representatives from the School District & Education Sector
  • Two Representatives from Community/Nonprofit Organizations
  • Two Representatives from Faith Based Groups
  • Two Representatives from Media
  • Two Representatives from Youth Organizations
  • Two Representatives from the Healthcare Industry; and
  • Three At-Large Members

Citizens may fill out volunteer interest forms and send them to the City Clerk’s office by Wednesday, March 27th to be considered for appointment.

The volunteer forms are available at http://sanmarcostx.gov/DocumentCenter/View/12006/Census-2020-Complete-Count-Committee-Application and may be filled out and emailed to Tammy Cook at tkcook@sanmarcostx.gov.

The forms may also be mailed to the City Clerk’s office, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos Texas 78666 or faxed to 855-246-9100.

Residents are asked to submit their interest forms by March 27, 2019. The City Council is scheduled to review the applications and make appointments at the April 2, 2019 City Council meeting.
