Rescue Alliance Partners and Community Leaders,
The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is currently over capacity, and we’re in need of assistance to free up much-needed kennel space. Below is a list of the shelter’s current most at-risk animals, who each have deadlines of Saturday, June 29 at 3 PM. To help open kennel space, we are also including a list of other adoptable animals below. Our goal is to open at least 10 dog kennels by Saturday afternoon.
Animals Under Deadline At The Shelter: Saturday, June 29, at 3 PM.
Trent 111527:
Male, 3 years, 65 pounds, altered. One of our longer-stay dogs at 68 days in the shelter. Trent is a big ball of wound-up energy, who can be nervous at first but warms up with patience and love.
Clifford 111435: NO PHOTO
Male, 2 years, 60 pounds, altered. One of our longest stay dogs at 75 days in the shelter. Official adoption profile: “If you’re looking for an “all American” good boy, Clifford is your dog. He’s full of playful energy, but also walks well on a leash. His favorite things are chasing balls, getting belly rubs, and making people smile. He likes other dogs too. He’s been at the shelter for a quite a while, and he’s ready to settle in for life with someone who will give him lots of love.”
Female, 3 years, 35 pounds, altered. Pearl is very, very nervous in her kennel and avoids staff, volunteers, and visitors as much as possible. She’s had great interactions with other dogs, and she did share a kennel with another dog for a long while. We know that this environment is not conducive, and we believe that she needs a place with consistency and patience.
