The City of San Marcos is seeking input on a proposed small area plan program and invites community members to take a brief survey to help shape the program.
The survey will be available through the month of October and is available online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/smallareaplan.
Touchscreen kiosks are available at the San Marcos Public Library, City Hall Lobby and at public meetings and events.
The purpose of the Small Area Plan Program is to further the Vision San Marcos Comprehensive Plan goal of “ensuring that neighborhoods retain their existing character and follow development and redevelopment patterns desired by the residents.”
The program is designed to empower and assist residents and community organizations in realizing the goals from the Vision San Marcos Comprehensive Plan in their neighborhood.
Over the next few months, the Planning and Development Services Department will be collecting input and meeting with neighborhood groups, community organizations and City Boards and Commissions.
Applications are scheduled to be available to neighborhood representatives and community organizations wishing to participate in the Small Area Plan Program beginning in December. Key upcoming dates and meetings include:
