San Marcos To Host 4th Workforce Housing Task Force Meeting

The City will hold its fourth Workforce Housing Task Force meeting on Thursday, June 13, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins St to begin reviewing an initial draft of the Strategic Housing Action Plan that includes specific actions as part of a three-year implementation timeline.

The Task Force is comprised of 19 community leaders charged with assisting the San Marcos City Council in developing a strategic housing action plan to address the housing challenges faced by working families in San Marcos.

The initial draft of the Strategic Housing Action Plan will be posted for public comment and review beginning June 17, 2019. 

During the summer months, the Task Force will consider public comments and feedback prior to the creation of the recommended Task Force Draft which will be presented during its last meeting on September 12, 2019. 

The recommended Strategic Housing Action Plan will be passed from the Task Force to the full City Council for adoption in October 2019.
