San Marcos To Host Caregiving At Home Conference

Health Training Services will demonstrate “Hands On” techniques to care for your loved ones at home.

Comfort Connection/Nurses Unlimited, The Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area (AAACAP) and San Marcos Parks and Recreation have partnered to provide a free conference that will focus on services and education for caregivers, older adults and their families on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 East Hopkins, from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Health Training Services will demonstrate “Hands On” techniques to care for your loved ones at home. Other topics include; communication, caring for yourself, normal and abnormal signs of aging, medication management and community resources.

The Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area will present programming and services available to caregivers and older individuals in need of in-home support. Lunch will provided by Central Texas Advocates for Seniors and Comfort Connection/Nurses Unlimited.
