In preparation for the fall semester, the City of San Marcos Transportation Division will test school zone flashing signs and inspect traffic signs within school zones on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
During the testing, motorists will see the school zone signs flashing in the morning and afternoon.
The school zone speed limit will be enforced in the Blanco Vista Elementary school zones, as classes are already in session at this school.
However, school zone speeds will not be enforced in any other school zones during the test period.
Once the test is completed, the signs will not be activated again until the first day of school on Monday, Oct. 5.
