San Marcos, TxDOT Announce Night-Time Lane Closures For Loop 82 Improvements

On Monday, July 22, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will begin evening lane closures southbound along Loop 82 (Guadalupe St.) between University Drive and San Antonio St. as part of their annual road maintenance program.

For minimal traffic disruption, lane closures and road work are scheduled during night-time hours between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. During active road work, parking will not be available along Guadalupe Street within one block of construction.

This downtown construction is a component of a larger project that began on Tuesday, July 16, for mill and overlay road work on Loop 82 from the Interstate Highway 35 at Aquarena Springs Drive interchange to the Interstate Highway 35 at State Highway 123 interchange. The entire project is expected to take thirty days, weather permitting.

For more information, please contact, Rachel Canuela at Rachel.Canuela1@txdot.gov or call TxDOT South Travis Area Office at 512.282.2133.
