100 BLOCK CHARLES AUSTIN DR, UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD: Charles Austin Dr. will be closed at the railroad tracks in both directions on Monday, April 24 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. for railroad maintenance. 300 BLOCK McCARTY, UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD: Union Pacific Railroad will be shutting down the 300 block of McCarty from IH 35 to Hunter Rd. on Friday, April 21 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. for repair work. DASH 4 DONUTS 4 MILE RACE: The race will start at the 100 block of Edward Gary on Saturday, April 29. The course will leave all roads open for the exception of South Edward Gary between San Antonio and LBJ which will be closed from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. San Marcos Police Officers with marked patrol vehicles as well as traffic cones, signs and volunteers will be posted throughout the course for easy directional assistance. HAYS ST: All lanes in both directions will be closed on April 25 – May 26 from 9 p.m. – 9 p.m. for maintenance to sewer bypass. Please follow all detour signage. City of San Marcos Engineering Dept./CIP, 512.393.8130   Apr. 25   9 a.m.

LUCIANO FLORES BLVD: The north bound lane at Lucio Flores Blvd at the intersection of Tampico St. will be closed on April 25 to May 26 from 9 p.m. to 9 p.m. for sewer bypass pumping. City of San Marcos Engineering/CIP Dept., 512.393.8130    Apr. 25    9 p.m.   May 26     9 p.m.
630 E. HOPKINS: On Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., there will be a Rain Barrel pick up day at the City Hall complex. No road closures but beware of barricades pulling into the facility. City of San Marcos Water Conservation Dept., 512.393.8310   Apr. 22   9 a.m.   Apr. 22   1 p.m.
205 S CM ALLEN (CHILDREN’S PARK): There will be a temporary street closure for The ‘Just for Fun’ Parade that will take place on Saturday, April 22 starting at 10 a.m. The San Marcos Police Dept. officers will escort the annual parade that will begin and end at the Children’s Park and travel along CM Allen Parkway, Hopkins, Fredericksburg and Hutchison Street. 500 FRANKLIN DR: South and north bound of the 500 block of Franklin will have one lane closed for Pothole Utility work on April 17 – 28 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Michael Hammack, 512.942.6213   Apr. 17    9 a.m.   Apr. 28   4 p.m.
IH 35/YARRINGTON SOUTH: The inside and outside lanes of north and south bound IH35/Yarrington will be intermittently closed for concrete work at the new north bound entrance ramps #203, 206, 301, 302 and south bound Exit ramp #203 & 206 on April 18 – 21 from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. One lane will remain open for smooth traffic flow. Please note that the entrance ramp North of Yarrington Rd., mile marker 210, will be permanently closed and removed as part of the final configuration. IH35/YARRINGTON NORTH ENTRANCE RAMP: The entrance ramp to IH 35, north of FM 150 will be closed during the lane closures due to safety concerns for the public. Traffic will need to travel down the frontage road to the Blanco River and use Entrance Ramp #207 during this time. TxDOT, 512.587.8895   Apr. 18   9 p.m.   Apr. 21   5 a.m
LP 82/AQUARENA SPRINGS: TxDOT will be introducing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Post/Bobcat. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and then detour to the new signal. This will last approximately 45 days starting on February 15. TxDOT, 512.393.8130 Feb. 15 End of April
RR 12/CRADDOCK: On south bound RR 12 to Craddock, maintenance work will commence for new water main construction on March 1 – April 27 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting. EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Half a block closed from the alley to N. LBJ every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430 Year Round Year Round
LONG TERM CLOSURE – VISTA ST: All lanes in both directions will be closed from 310 – 312 Vista Street for utility construction until July 31, 2018. Texas State University, 512.245.2202 Present July 31, 2018
LONG TERM CLOSURE – SESSOM DR: Various lane closures from N. LBJ to Aquarena Springs Dr. will run through January 2018 for road construction. City of San Marcos Engineering/CIP Dept., 512.393.8130 Present Jan. 2018
LONG TERM CLOSURE – N LBJ:  From Holland St. to Camaro Way will be closed to through traffic until the summer of 2017. Road closure will occur during daytime construction hours. City contractor will be replacing utility lines in the area. Through traffic including Emergency Vehicles, will be routed around the project limits; please follow the detours.
