SMHS ROTC 5K RUN: On Saturday, Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. there will be a 5K Rattlesnake Run starting at the San Marcos High School. There will be no road closures, but police officers will provide traffic control for the runners. The run begins at the high school and will include Rattler Road, McCarty Lane, Old Bastrop HWY and a small portion of HWY 123 between McCarty Lane and Old Bastrop HWY. Lt. CHARLES AUSTIN DRIVE/LP 82: Right lane west bound closure heading to the Charles Austin intersection will occur to place the remaining asphalt on the North side of LP 82 approximately 400’ west of Laurel Street on Thursday Aug. 23 from 24 a.m. to 4 p.m. , weather permitting. TxDOT 512.750.5189

TANGLEWOOD/HIGHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD AREA: City contractor will be trimming trees in the area in preparation for a construction project. Traffic will be flagged around the tree trimming contractors operation. Area residents can expect to see tree trimmers on Camaro Way to Schulle Drive, Nichols to Highland Drive, Elm Hill Court to Meadow Parkway until Aug. 26.
