San Marcos Weekly Traffic Update Is Here

LOOP 82/AQUARENA SPRINGS: Contractors will be working on the Loop 82/Aquarena Springs RR overpass and will be shifting traffic lanes to the north side of the roadway to allow construction of retaining walls, foundations and substructure. Four traffic lanes will remain open. Laurel Lane, on the north side of the roadway, and the driveways on the south side, entering the Texas State stadium parking lot will become a right in and right out only configuration. Post Road will not be affected with this lane shift. This will occur September 18 through mid-October. City of San Marcos Engineering Dept., 512.393.8130  Sept. 18  Mid-October
LP 82/POST: Various night and day time closures will take place at LP 82 and east bound Post access Rd for the installation of concrete barriers Oct. 26 and 27 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and on Oct. 27 and 28 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. TxDOT, 512.905.3097 Oct. 26 @ 8 p.m. Oct. 28 @ 4 p.m.
JACKSON LANE: A mill and overlay project will begin on Jackson Lane on October 5 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting, for the exception of Saturday and Sunday. Please obey construction warning signs and flaggers and be observant of heavy equipment and workers on the street.
The project will last 4 to 6 weeks, weather permitting. City of San Marcos Streets Dept., 512.393.8025

120 E. SAN ANTONIO ST: The alley located between Allstate and The Marc will be closed for bus parking during filming of Texas Music Scene on Oct. 22 – 23 from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. and. Omar Dawoud, 512.787.3771  Oct. 22 @ 6 a.m.  Oct. 23 @ 6 a.m.
CHARLES AUSTIN: At Charles Austin Dr., traffic will be converted to one way operation, northbound, from Aquarena Springs to Hopkins Street for football game traffic on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m  Oct. 22 @ 12 p.m.  Oct. 22 @ 11 p.m.
WARDEN/ZUNKER: A mill and overlay project will begin on Warden and Zunker St. on October 5 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting, for the exception of Saturday and Sunday. SESSOM DR/N LBJ: There will be alternating lane closures for the new LBJ Hike and Bike project along Sessom from Aquarena Springs to N LBJ. Closure will start on October 24 through Jan. 1, 2017 from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m daily, weather permitting. There may also be overnight lane closures for the drying of concrete. SH 123/RM 12: IH 35 south bound frontage road from SH 123 to RM 12 will have intermittent lane closures for repairs, and installing guardrails on October 23 – 28 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. TxDOT, 512.695.4248  Oct. 23 @ 8 p.m.  Oct. 28 @ 5 a.m.
IH 35/YARRINGTON: The Yarrington Bridge at IH-35 will have several intermittent southbound and northbound inside lane closures for miscellaneous bridge work October 17 – 23  from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. TxDOT, 737.600.3137  Oct 17 @ 8 p.m.  Oct 23 @ 5 a.m.
106 CHARLES AUSTIN DR: Due to the demolition of the Riverside Apartments, the parking lots serving them will be under construction Sept. 26 – Nov. 10. There are no road closures, but drivers are asked to be aware of construction zone. TXST, 512.245.2202 Sept. 26 Nov. 10
817 CHESTNUT ST: One lane will be closed for new construction to site through end of November. Street will continue to be passable to all traffic. J4 Development, 469.236.0922 Present End of November 
N LBJ:  From Holland St. to Camaro Way will be closed to through traffic until the Spring of 2017. Road closure will occur during daytime construction hours. City contractor will be replacing utility lines in the area. Through traffic including Emergency Vehicles, will be routed around the project limits; please follow the detours. WOODS ST: A segment of Woods St between Comanche and North Street will be closed during construction of the new Texas State University Engineering & Science Building beginning Monday, August 15 until August 2018. Project Manager Scott Rouse, 512.245.2202 Aug 15, 2016 August 2018
