UNIVERSITY AT LBJ: West half of the intersection of LBJ at University will be closed for the next four weeks for construction. Please obey all traffic detour signs. TxDOT/City of San Marcos CIP/Engineering, 512.393.8130
UNIVERSITY FROM LBJ TO CM ALLEN: Full-time closure on east-bound lane on University from LBJ to CM Allen until Nov. 28, 2014 for replacement of sidewalk and curb and gutter along University. CIP/Engineering Dept., 512.393.8130
DUNBAR NEIGHBORHOOD: Asphalt Overlay Project for an estimated 3 to 6 weeks depending on weather from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. daily except for weekends. Streets to be paved include: Endicott, Nance, Armstead and Faris St. Residents are asked to park their vehicles off the street while their street is being worked on or they may be towed at their expense. Please drive slowly, use caution in the work zone and obey traffic control flaggers. City of San Marcos Street Dept., 512.393.8036.
RIVERSIDE DR. AND RIVIERA ST. OVERLAY PROJECT: Overlay Project from Hopkins St. to the RR tracks for an estimated 3- to 6 weeks depending on weather from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except for weekends. Residents are asked to park their vehicles off the street while their street is being worked on or they may be towed at their expense. 301 N. GUADALUPE – HUTCHISON ST: East bound Hutchison street closure to extend fire line into building through Nov. 4, 2014 from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Use caution in the work zone and obey all traffic signage and control flaggers.
407 S. STAGECOACH TRAIL: All lanes in both directions will be closed from Dutton Drive to Stagecoach Trail for construction of a concrete wall through Nov. 7. Sabre Commercial, 512.203.8681
EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430
LONG TERM ROAD PROJECTS:
• MOORE STREET: Moore Street is closed from Read to Holland Street until 2016 for dormitory construction. Texas State University FPDC, 512.245.2202
• NORTH LBJ AT ACORN: Reconstruction of N LBJ will continue until Jan. 1, 2015 in conjunction with the N LBJ reconstruction project for street, sidewalk, drainage, water and wastewater improvements. Acorn Street can be accessed from Chestnut during this time period. Engineering/Capital Improvements, 512.393.8130
• POST ROAD WATERLINE PROJECT: The Post Road Waterline Project involves closures on the southbound lane from the Blanco River toward San Marcos into October. Motorists heading south on Post Road in San Marcos will experience delays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily from 2641 Post Rd. southward for a water line installation. • NORTH LBJ: Until Spring of 2015. Reconstruction project for street, sidewalk, drainage, water and wastewater improvements. Motorists will be detoured one way northbound on LBJ from Forest to Holland Streets and will use Chestnut as a southbound route during construction. Engineering/Capital Improvements, 512.393.8130
• 323 LINDSEY STREET: Portion of parking lane on the south side of Lindsey Street will be blocked off for construction access daily through Jan. 1, 2015 starting at 7 a.m. Street will be passable for regular and emergency traffic. Skyline Commercial, 512.343.4555
• TxDOT HUNTER ROAD (FM 2439) PROJECT: Lane closures on Hunter Road between Wonder World Drive and Bishop Street for road, bridge, drainage, bicycle and pedestrian improvements through the Fall 2015. TxDOT, 512.282.2113 or City of San Marcos CIP/ Engineering, 512.393.8130.
