School Fight Puts San Marcos High School On Lockdown

On Thursday, September 24, 2015, a fight involving six male students broke out during the lunch hour. A temporary shelter (lockdown) in place was called until the fight was stopped by administrators. No weapons were involved. On Friday, September 25, there were unsubstantiated rumors that there would be another fight during the scheduled pep rally.
The San Marcos High School principal reports that they have no viable evidence of any threats or weapons. None of the students involved in the fight yesterday are on campus today. As precautionary measures, there is an increased presence of SRO’s, and today’s pep rally has been cancelled. San Marcos CISD will always take precautions to keep our students and staff safe.
