UPDATE: Search Continues For Man Charged In Teen’s Shooting

The Lockhart Police Department is coordinating with multiple law enforcement agencies in an effort to locate Isidro Navarrete, who is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred Friday night in Lockhart.

A 15-year-old male was reportedly wounded in the incident and transported to Seton Kyle with non-life- threatening injuries and his condition is unknown at this time. Navarrete is wanted on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Navarrete fled from officers in the 1700 block of Silent Valley Road (FM 2001) Friday night. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, The Department of Public Safety and an Austin Police Department helicopter assisted in the search, which continued throughout the night.

Police said a handgun has been recovered that was allegedly tossed out by Navarrete. The firearm was reported stolen, police said.

Lockhart Police Department is coordinating with multiple law enforcement agencies in an attempt to find Navarrete, who is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s with a medium build who was seen wearing a camo jacket. He was last seen Friday night in the area of SH 130 and FM 2001.
