Second Brushy Waste Drop-Off Of 2019 Is Here!

Staff Reports

There are still weeks left in the Texas Winter, but residents can still prepare for the spring and the gardening season by maintaining their yards until then.

The City of San Marcos will host its monthly brushy waste drop-off for residential garbage and recycling service customers on Saturday, Feb 9, from 8 AM – 1 PM.

The brush drop off is located behind the San Marcos Animal Shelter and be reached by using the Shelter’s entrance at 750 River Road and following the signs.

Green waste that will be accepted includes trees or brush trimmings, leaves and grass clippings. Brush containing barbed wire or other metals will not be accepted.

The service is open only to residential solid waste customers in San Marcos. Residents are invited to load and take ground up mulch at the site as available.

Residents also have the option of using their green waste carts to dispose of brushy waste.

Please check the City website at www.sanmarcostx.gov/brush  or call Resource Recovery at 512.393.8407.
