Seguin, TX – The Seguin Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is partnering with Workforce Solutions Alamo to host a Seguin Winter Job Fair on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the American Legion located at 618 E Kingsbury St, Seguin, TX 78155. More than 20 employers will be present and looking to hire immediate openings in a diverse range of job skills.
Job fairs are a great way to meet multiple, potential employers all in one place and have on-the spot interviews-all while practicing your career skills.
Seguin area employers will be hiring for entry, intermediate and advanced-level positions. Participating companies include Alamo Group TX, Ameritex Pipe & Products, Caterpillar, City of Seguin, CMC Steel Texas, Community Council of South Texas, EPMP LTD, Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center, Hexcel Corporation, Minigrip, Navarro ISD, Rave Gears, Seguin Fabricators LTD, Seguin Housing Authority, Seguin ISD, Tyson Foods, Vitesco Technologies, Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation of Seguin, ZDT’s and more.
“Many employers have contacted us trying to find ways to attract a talented workforce, which is part of our job to help connect these and help businesses grow, and in turn, helps to strengthen the economy and support a strong middle class,” said Josh Schneuker, Executive Director of the Seguin Economic Development Corporation.
The unemployment rate for the city of Seguin was 3.6% during the month of December 2021, a substantial decrease from the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
We hope partnering with Workforce Solutions Alamo for this in-person job fair will help us to match job seekers with Seguin employers who have open positions ready to fill,” said Schneuker.
The in-person job fair will adhere to all COVID-19 requirements as recommended by the CDC.
