Sending Love & Support During COVID To Wounded SMPD Officer

Corridor Staff

San Marcos Hays County EMS is accepting “Get Well” cards for Officer Paul Beller of the San Marcos Police Department.

Officer Beller was struck by a vehicle in early March while on duty and has undergone several surgeries and intense rehabilitation at the TIRR in Houston.

According to officials, Beller has a long way to go still and due to COVID restrictions, he is not allowed to have visitors.

San Marcos Hays County EMS said family and friends of Beller report his morale is way low; they’ve gotten permission to mail “Get Well” cards to the facility and want to extend it to the community as well in order to show him how many people care.

San Marcos residents can mail cards to the San Marcos Police Department, 2300 S IH 35, San Marcos, Texas, 78666.

Beller’s badge number is 450, and he is a fan of Jeeps, the Astros and 80’s movies, according to San Marcos Hays County EMS.

“think this is a great idea if you’re also needing something to help keep your kiddos busy this summer, while also instilling in them a respect and love for those that help keep us safe,” EMS said. “Have them decorate and write a card to Officer Beller as well.”
