Seton Hays To Welcome More Moms, Babies With New Labor And Delivery Rooms

To get ahead of tremendous growth in Hays and surrounding counties, Seton Medical Center Hays is expanding maternity capacity by adding two new labor and delivery rooms.

 

Each month, staff at Seton Hays helps bring about 80 new babies into the world. With population growth in Hays and surrounding counties, the hospital predicts it will soon be delivering more than 100 babies per month.

 

Seton Hays will unveil its new rooms this Tuesday May 31, at 3 p.m. at a ribbon cutting ceremony at Seton Medical Center Hays, 6001 Kyle Parkway.

 

In addition to six labor and delivery rooms, high-quality maternity services at Seton Hays includes:

  • Seven obstetricians
  • Hospitalist pediatricians
  • A Level II NICU service
  • Two operating room suites
  • Lactation services
  • High-tech infant security system
  • In-room sleeping accommodations for family members
  • Prenatal and breastfeeding education classes
