The Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily close State Highway 21 in Uhland this weekend to replace a damaged drainage culvert.
Beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, April 27, traffic will detour via FM 2720 and Old Spanish Trail, as crews replace a drainage culvert damaged during heavy flooding last summer. SH 21 will reopen to traffic at 5 a.m. on Monday, April 30. This work is weather permitting.
When the installation is complete and SH 21 is reopened, the contractor will work on the roadside to finish the project. Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the closures, and motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area.
Dan Williams Construction is the contractor on the $260,000 project.
