SM Leaders Are Being Locked-Up For A Good Cause
Leadership San Marcos, Class of 2016 is holding a fundraiser and locking up San Marcos Leaders for a good cause on Wednesday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kent Black’s Barbecue, 510 Hull Street, San Marcos, TX.
Prominent jailbirds include San Marcos Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Sam Huenergerdt, CEO of Central Texas Medical Center, and Carter Morris, Real Estate Broker and owner of Century 21 Real Estate, and Adriana Cruz, President of Greater San Marcos Partnership. The local community is welcome to join the fun at Kent Black’s Barbecue to see these jailbirds raise their bail.
The Class of 2016 Leadership San Marcos will be donating all the proceeds raised from this fun event to the Greater San Marcos Youth Council.
The GSMYC cares for and houses children under the age of 18 until family or societal recourses are provided. They also provide essential counseling and other support services to Hays County children and their families.
The current housing facility for the GSMYC children is in need of additional fencing for security, as well as overall home improvements including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair.
Those who are interested in “keeping hope alive” should contact Chelsea Clark at chelseaclark05@gmail.com or Kristin Miller at kristin.d.miller@att.net to receive a sign-up packet.
You can find more information for the Greater San Marcos Youth Council on their website at http://www.gsmyc.org/.
