Contemporary Books: The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd

Wednesday, December 3—Readers of popular literature meet at the San Marcos Public Library on first Wednesdays each month at 1:00 p.m. December’s selection is The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd.

How to Write Your Life Story

Saturday, December 6—Author Frances McMaster presents a free workshop on writing your life story at the San Marcos Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This program was made possible with a grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and is sponsored by the Heart of Texas Genealogical Society.

Tuesday, December 16—The San Marcos Public Library puppeteers present The Night Before Christmas (In Texas, That Is) a fun, familiar fable that is just right for children ages 2 and up. There will be three shows at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
