Cendra Denea Rodriguez represented San Marcos Academy at the Varsity Spirit Spectacular at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando Nov. 21-25.
Cendra joined more than 800 high school cheerleaders and dancers from across the country who were invited to perform in a parade down Main Street, USA.
The participants were part of a select group of ninth-twelfth grade cheer captains who took part in a Varsity Spirit summer camp over the summer.
Cendra had attended a National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) camp in July, along with the rest of the SMA cheer squad.
During her time at Disney World, Cendra participated in an exclusive holiday pre-parade performance through Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park before of hundreds of fans.
Besides enjoying the trip to Orlando, performers had the opportunity to meet cheerleaders and dancers from across the nation.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to represent the Academy at the Varsity Spirit Spectacular holiday parade,” Cendra said. “The opportunity to perform at Magic Kingdom was a once in a lifetime experience and was a great way to close out my last year of cheerleading.”
