On Friday, February 26, 2016, the San Marcos High School chapter of HOSA: Future Health Professionals went to Build-A-Bear and created bears to be donated to the Greater San Marcos Youth Council.  Each student raised at least $15 to be allowed to attend, and then spent time creating a special bear for the children at the youth council.  The students raised enough money to create 25 bears with outfits to fit the children’s individual personalities – really creating something special for the children. The bears were accepted at the youth council by Nena Meadows, Shelter Supervisor.
