SMCISD New Trustees, New Board

Two San Marcos CISD Trustees were sworn in on Monday, May 16, 2016, at the monthly School Board meeting. Newcomer Clementine (Clem) Cantu was sworn in by Georganne Logue, and returning trustee Kathy Hansen was sworn in by her daughter Meghan Hansen. Cantu represents District 5, and Hansen represents District 4.

 

The Board recognized outgoing member John Crowley who had served for six years. Outgoing President Kathy Hansen presented Crowley with a special plaque in appreciation for his service.

 

When the meeting convened, the Trustees elected the following as their officers for the upcoming year: Clem Cantu (president), Anne Halsey (vice-president), and Juan Miguel Arredondo (secretary).
