San Marcos Police have arrested two men suspected of burglarizing electronics stores in New Braunfels and San Marcos.
At 5:29 a.m. on March 4, officers responded to the Best Buy located at 1050 McKinley Place Drive to investigate a reported alarm showing motion inside the building.
As they neared the area, officers observed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed. The vehicle ran a red light at Wonder World Dr. and continued speeding northbound.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle when it merged onto IH-35 northbound.
Police arrested the two occupants, Trevon Deonte Marquis Relford (DOB: 08/25/1994) and Kenneth Kenvon Deloch, Jr. (DOB: 06/01/2000), both from Houston.
Further investigation revealed electronics that still had security webbing attached and multiple phones and tablets with the display security cords that were cut.
Relford and Deloch have been charged with Burglary of a Building.
Before the alarm in San Marcos, SMPD was notified of a burglary at the Best Buy Store in New Braunfels.
Management at Best Buy suspected these subjects are responsible for multiple Best Buy burglaries across the state of Texas.
