SMPD Invites Residents to Have ‘Coffee with a Cop’

San Marcos police officers will be out in the community later this month so residents can chat and have “Coffee with a Cop.”

Officers will be at the following restaurants to have coffee and chat with residents about their community:

Casa Maria, 706 S. Guadalupe S Friday, May 20, 7-10 a.m.

Taco Cabana, 135 Long St. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, 7-10 a.m.

The Craft House, 242 N. LBJ Friday, June 3, 9-11 a.m.

The coffee is free and provided by the restaurants hosting the events.

“Coffee with a Cop” is great way to bring police officers and residents together in a casual setting that encourages the free flow of information.

“There’s no set agenda or program scheduled,” said Cpl. Laray Taylor of SMPD. “We just want to meet and talk with residents and find out what’s on their minds. This is also a great way for the community gets to know some of the officers that serve them.”

For more information, contact Cpl. Laray Taylor at 512.754.2270.
