SMPD Seeks Help Identifying, Locating Suspect In Aggravated Assault

Staff Reports

On Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020, at approximately 9:30 AM, SMPD patrol officers responded to Nest Apartments, 518 Linda Drive, for an Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon case stemming from a road rage incident.

The incident started in the Northbound lanes of IH 35 in San Marcos. The suspect followed the female victim into the complex in the shown black in color, newer model Ford F-150.

During the incident, the suspect threatened to slit the victim’s throat with a knife he displayed, proceeded to slit a tire on the victim’s vehicle, and then kicked the victim in the chest.

The suspect is believed to be a white male, approximately 50 years of age, around 5 foot 9 inches tall, with short white curly hair. The victim did not recall the suspect having any visible tattoos.

The victim believes the suspect was intoxicated because he struggled to maintain his balance during the incident.

The Ford F-150 has 4-doors, possibly has a slight lift, running boards on both sides of the vehicle, and tinted window visors over the windows on each door.

If residents have any information related to this incident, please contact SMPD Detective Davidson at 512.753.2315 or TDavidson@sanmarcostx.gov.
